Casing oscillators

The Quiet Professional

Casing oscillators install and extract casing in challenging ground conditions.  Working together with drilling equipment, oscillators facilitate simultaneous drilling and casing advancement. This process offers immediate support preventing shaft collapse and can effectively prevent groundwater intrusion.

Oscillators twist back and forth using oscillating force, as opposed to vertical force, to install casing into the ground. The twisting motion enables the oscillator to cut through obstructions and dense layers more efficiently.

Oscillators are ideally suited for:

  • Caving conditions, such as loose sands and gravelly soil

  • Dense strata and fractured rock

  • Mud and muck

  • Drilling next to existing structures

Since casing oscillators do not rely on hammering or vibration to install casing, they can reduce the impact on surrounding areas. This is critical when drilling in sensitive areas or near existing structures.

Set-up Options

Drill Rig - Drill mount casing oscillators are ideal for projects with a smaller footprint, but still require the power and precision that an oscillator provides. Drill mount oscillators are available in five configurations and can install casing ranging from 610mm (2ft) up to 2,500mm (8.2ft).

Crane - Crane mount oscillators are available in a both a base configuration or heavy duty configuration which offers more torque and lifting force. The base oscillator has a max casing diameter from 2,000mm to 3,600mm with an available adapter to reduce down the size 1,000mm below the original diameter. The heavy duty oscillator can install casing from 2,000mm to 4,268mm with a reducing adapter also available.
