Casing rotators
The Tank
Casing Rotators use clockwise or counterclockwise rotational force to install casing in drilled shafts, turning a full 360 degrees Casing ranges from 800mm (2’7”) - 4,000mm (13.1”).
A rotator can be used when ground conditions are so unstable that drilled holes cannot safely be stabilized with drilling slurry or when loose ground must be controlled. They can also be used for hard soil and obstructions, including solid rock, slanted rock, rock layers or boulders.
Rotators have a self-traveling capability with optional crawler tracks and power pack deck as well as a counterbalance function ensuring casing verticality.
Casing rotators utilize anti-vibratory method of installing casing and only water can be used during the drilling process. These techniques help mitigate or eliminate environmental concerns.
There are additional applications and benefits of a utilizing a rotator including:
Removing existing concrete piles
Cutting through concrete in secant piling
Penetrating inclined rock layers or large boulders
